Markings: The patchbox is surrounded by an eagle shaped brass design. The butt-plate’s bottom tang features two heart shaped decorations. There are decorative hand engravings on the stock. The top of the barrel is marked “PARRY”. The top, left and right sides of the wrist have decorative brass attachments. The cheek-piece is marked with a brass medallion decorated with an eagle. The side-plate has a decorative engraving.
Barrel Length: 44”, Octagonal
Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a brass blade fixed by the muzzle. The rear sight is a dovetailed “U”-notch.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The wood stock features a brass nose-cap, two brass ferrules, a brass capped slot in the forend for the ramrod, a lock plate, a side-plate, a straight wrist with finger grooves integral to the bottom tang, a straight comb with cheek-piece, a brass patch-box and brass butt-plate. The stock has light handling marks, but it lacks any notable defects. The LOP is 13” from the trigger and 12” from the set trigger to the rear end of the butt-plate. The drops are approximately 2.5” and 3” from the comb and heel respectively. The butt-plate has some light handling marks, some oxidation concentrated on its bottom tang and is lightly tarnished. Overall, the stock is in Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright with mostly sharp rifling. There is light erosion and some stubborn fouling scattered in the bore.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 70% of its metal finish. The brass parts remain somewhat bright but they are lightly tarnished, have some scattered patches of light surface oxidation and a few light patches of verdigris. The lock-plate’s case coloring has largely faded but there is some surviving on the hammer and around the leading edges. The browned barrel has some light handling marks, light finish loss along the leading edges and a few light patches of surface oxidation. There are also some scattered light handling marks, nicks and scuffs. The markings remain clear. The screwheads have light tool-marks but they remain serviceable. Overall, the rifle is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

This particular specimen is beautifully crafted with impressive engravings scattered throughout the rifle. The gun has some handling and storage wear, but it remains a nicely crafted and mechanically sound option. The gun should appeal to modern black-powder enthusiasts. Good luck on your bid!
