Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER P220”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “37B059683”, and “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER–NH–USA”. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “.45 AUTO / SIG”. The right grip panel is marked “SIG SAUER”, the left is marked “P220”. The front and rear sights are marked “MH3” and “AQ”.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade night sight with a tritium lamp dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch night sight with two tritium lamps dovetailed into the slide. The tritium lamps hold a decent glow in low light levels.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece textured FDE polymer panels that envelop the back strap leaving the serrated front strap exposed. There are no notable imperfections, only faint handling wear. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip rates in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear on the barrel from racking the slide. All screws are sharp, pins are unmarred, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single action is light and crisp, and the double action is smooth. This pistol has a de-cocker on the left side of the frame. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol includes a black Sig Sauer factory case, three 8-round magazines, paperwork including a manual, and a lock.
Our Assessment: The SIG Sauer P220 is a semi-automatic pistol. Designed in 1975 by the SIG Arms AG division of Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (now SIG Holding AG), and produced by J. P. Sauer & Sohn, in Eckernförde; it is currently manufactured by both SIG Sauer companies: SIG Sauer GMBH, of Eckernförde, Germany; and SIG Sauer, Inc., of New Hampshire, United States. The SIG P220 also comes in P220R and P220ST versions. The P220 R is effectively the same as the P220, but comes with an equipment rail located on the forward end of the frame of the firearm for accepting accessories such as a weapon light or laser sight. This example is in Excellent condition and comes in a protective case with three eight-round magazines to get you started. Equipped with tritium night sights, this would make a great home defense piece for greeting intruders in the night. It would also make for fun at the range. Please see our photos and good luck!
