Markings: The left of the slide is marked “CUSTOM Kimber SHOP”, the right is marked “COMPACT CDP II”. The right of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A. / KC20584. The chamber is marked “.45 ACP”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium insert and is dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a lo-mount style square-notch with a serrated rear face and two tritium inserts, it is dovetailed and screw set to the rear of the slide. The lamps have dimmed but can still be acquired in low to no light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece double diamond checkered wood panels. There are a couple of light marks on the bottoms and a few little bits of finish wear on the smooth diamonds. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Fine Plus-Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Stainless with Black Alloy Frame
Finish Originality: Original but the slide stop is a replacement.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light wear on the edges of the sights. There is some faint wear on the edges of the trigger guard. There is some light operational wear. The screws are undamaged. The markings are clear and easily read. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The slide has barely perceptible movement to the frame. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
Box & Accessories: This pistol comes with one 7-round magazine, a host of paperwork including the manual, and a serial matching hard case.
Our Assessment: For 40 years, Kimber has been producing some of the finest 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. This particular pistol comes packed with features such as angled rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, full-length stainless guide-rod, skeletonized hammer and trigger, ambidextrous frame safety, checkered front and backstraps, carry melt dehorn treatment, and of course, Kimber quality. This example is in Excellent condition showing almost no use and comes with one magazine and its original case. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection, but where it will really shine is in your holster for carry. Please see our photos and good luck!
