Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “VUDOO GUNWORKS / ST. GEORGE, UT.” The left side of the rail is marked “20 MOA”. The right side of the receiver is marked “MODEL V22 / VGW3681 / U.S. PAT. 10.495.394”. The right side of the chamber is marked “17M2”. The bottom of the bolt is matched and marked “3681”. The bottom of the trigger guard is marked with the company logo and “VUDOO / GUNWORKS”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a 20 MOA rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a textured brown composite stock with black webbing. The stock has a pistol grip, fluted straight comb, sling studs front and rear, and a Pachmayr buttpad. There are a few light handling marks. There are no major defects. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the solid black rubber recoil pad. The recoil pad exhibits some light wear from use and general handling wear. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light handling wear and a few minor marks on the bolt handle. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The barrel markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The rifle is installed with a Timney Elite Hunter trigger. The trigger has a smooth takeup followed by a crisp break. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Some may say it’s overkill to build a .22LR, 17HM2, .22WMR, or 17HMR to this level. Heck, most production center fire rifles don’t have a solid one-piece bolt handle integral with the bolt body or an integral recoil lug like the V-22 does. If you want extreme reliability and accuracy in a repeater, there is no such thing as overkill. Many great designs are conceived and exist out there in the world but the truly great ones are manufacturable on a large scale, repeatable, and have a high tolerance level. The V-22 is such a design. The ability to hold tolerances in the tenths of thousandths with a consistent repeatability while still producing a volume suitable to meet demand is testament to the inherent design characteristics lead design engineer Mike Bush laid out at the very beginning. This ensures you, the shooter, can count on the same quality in the thousandth rifle as came in the first. This V-22 has an 18″ threaded barrel chambered for .17 Mach 2, is set in a nice composite stock, and is installed with a Timney elite Hunter trigger for the ultimate in performance. This rifle has seen little use and is ready to be installed with a bipod and quality glass. If you want a .17 Mach 2 repeater but will only accept the best, this is the rifle for you.
