Markings: The bottom of the barrel has Ruger’s three-line safety warning message. The left side of the frame is marked “RUGER® .44 MAGNUM CAL. / NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK®”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “88-54711”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked with “S”. The rear sight and both grip panels have the Ruger phoenix logo.
Barrel Length: 3.75”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade fixed to a mount on top of the barrel above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square-notch installed into a groove in the top strap and is adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black wood-grained laminate panels fixed to the grip frame. There are only light handling marks and no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is no notable damage or wear, just light handling marks and a light cylinder turn line. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks in each position with no play . We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This handgun comes with a gray plastic Ruger snap case with serial-matching label, instruction manual, factory test casing and its envelope and locking device and its key.
Our Assessment: This Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered for .44 Magnum rounds. This revolver pays homage to the classic Colt design but with modern twists distinctive to Ruger including coil springs and a transfer-bar safety. The revolver is mechanically sound and has a pleasing Satin Stainless finish. Produced as an exclusive for distributor Talo, this model has a 3 3/4” barrel, making it more convenient for carry, great for when you’re going fishing somewhere with bears or other predators.
