The synthetic parts have only minor handling marks, but are otherwise free of any notable wear or damage. Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is scattered minor stubborn fouling in places, and most notably at the muzzle.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. Upper edges of the receiver have a few very minor spots of thinning. The left side of the receiver has a few minor clusters of nicks. The left side and underside of the barrel has a few light scuffs/draglines. The screw heads are undamaged and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork and Accessories: This precision rifle will ship with its serial-matching factory box, a security lock, and various factory paperwork.

Our Assessment: The Ruger Precision Rifle was developed to put the same quality and accuracy of much more expensive rifles within reach of beginners who may not want to take out a second mortgage to build a long-range rifle, while still making it modular for those who want to upgrade parts. The rifle can use most AR-15 handguards and grips (which you’ll need, as no grip is included here), and an after-market for barrels quickly sprang up, and the RPR has become one of the most popular precision rifles on the market. This example looks to have been purchased and seldom used, with little to no signs of use beyond the fouling in the bore. It is chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor, making this an ideal rifle for those sensitive to harsh recoil. Good luck and happy bidding!
