Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER MADE IN GERMANY / SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH”. The right side of the slide is marked “G 517 970” followed by the Eagle over “N” proof mark and “P220S DE”. The right side of the frame is marked “DE / G517 970”. The exposed portion of the barrel is marked “.45 AUTO”. The rear sight is marked “SIG SAUER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation. 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are CNC checkered walnut with “SIG SAUER” engraved into them. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition. 

Type of Finish: Matte Stainless 

Finish Originality: All Original 

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. 

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a light scuff from the takedown lever. There are a few light handling marks. The exposed portion of the barrel shows a small heat coloration spot. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition. 

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The length of pull is adjustable. We did not fire this handgun. 

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a plastic Sig Sauer hard case with foam inserts. The case rates in Excellent condition. Inside the case is the factory test target and owner’s manual. The paperwork is in Fine condition. Two Allen wrenches and a multi-screwdriver tool are also included in excellent condition. There is a tube of Sig Sauer Gun Grease included which appears near full. There are two 8-round stainless magazines which are both rating in Fine to Excellent condition. There is a bent warning tag hanging from the trigger guard. 

Our Assessment: This might be the ultimate full size handgun. With its 6” barrel, Stainless Finish and .45 ACP chambering, this gun will hold true, point easily and have plenty of stopping power. It has adjustable sights which will enable you to use this for competition. There are front and rear slide serrations to allow your preference of chamber checking methods. It appears as if this pistol was used very little if at all. Now is your chance to pick up a near new P220S X- Six.
