Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 97”. The top of the barrel is marked “12 GA 2 3/4””. The right side of the barrel is marked “IAC BILLERICA MA. CHINA S.D.I”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “0306672”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “MADE IN CHINA”. The front face of the receiver is marked “MIL6672”. The right side of the receiver is marked with a fake flaming bomb ordnance mark.

Choke: The Modified Bore is fixed.
Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a brass bead at the muzzle end of the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece wood featuring a corn-cob style forend and a butt-stock with a semi-pistol grip, straight comb and black plastic checkered buttplate. There is a sling swivel in the belly and one on the bayonet lug. The stocks show no notable wear or damage. There are no cracks or chips. The LOP is 13 5/8” from the trigger to the rear end of the buttplate. The buttplate has only light handling wear and its checkering is sharp. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The shotgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There is thinning on the mag tube from operating the slide. There are some faint scratches on the left side of the receiver as well as scattered on the bayonet lug. There is light thinning on some of the leading edges. The markings remain clear. The screwheads are serviceable. Overall, the shotgun is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: There is a leather recoil pad included with the shotgun. The recoil pad has some light handling marks and a few patches of discoloration. Overall, the recoil pad is in Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: This S.D.I. model 97 is a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun with tubular magazine chambered for 2.75” shells. The shotgun is a modern Chinese made replica of the Winchester model 1897 and most closely resembles the riot variant. It also has an imitation flaming bomb ordanace on the right side of the receiver. Despite some minor wear this shotgun is both aesthetically pleasing and mechanically sound. The shotgun is a prime option for cowboy action shooting, additionally it can be used for hunting and recreational shooting at the range. Please see our photos and good luck!
