Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching box, two spare triggers, choke wrench, and three extended chokes (Skeet, Modified, Full). There is included paperwork but no manual.

Our Assessment: Browning Citori shotguns are extremely dependable and make for great investments. The Citori was introduced in 1973 as an alternative to the highly successful Superposed model. This example is a Citori 525 Sporting Grade, with 28” barrels threaded for Invector Plus chokes and chambered for 12 gauge 2 ¾ inch shells. It features beautifully figured checkered walnut stocks and scroll engraving on its silver nitride receiver. Aside from the spots of discoloration on the receiver, it has wear consistent with a few shots at the range, retaining strong mechanics, bright bores, and a tight lockup. This ought to be a great shotgun for hunting or clay shooting for the lucky winner. Please see our photos and good luck!
