Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks up with almost no play at each stop. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This revolver includes a black and yellow Ruger factory cardboard box, the outer shell box, and its manual.
Our Assessment: This New Model Blackhawk is chambered for .357 Remington Maximum, which was created as a joint venture between Remington and Ruger. The ammunition is no longer widely produced, and firearms that utilized it have largely been discontinued. Even this New Model Blackhawk was not produced in numbers in excess of 7,500. In addition to its wildly powerful cartridge, these Blackhawks are notable for having the wide hammer spur and square-back trigger guard of their Super Blackhawk cousins, yet they are still “only” Blackhawks. This example is in Fine-to-Excellent condition with virtually no wear, a bright bore, tight lock-up, ships with its original factory boxes, and features an incredible 10 1/2” bull barrel. Don’t miss the chance to win this awesome revolver! Good luck and happy bidding.
