Markings: The left of the barrel is marked “KIMBER MFG. INC. YONKERS, NY, USA .223 REM. PRO VARMINT” and has an encircled “P” at the chamber. The left of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “Kimber 84M”. The underside of the bolt handle is matched and hand inscribed “240”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver has two pairs of drilled, tapped, and filled holes.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece gray laminate wood stock with a pistol grip, steel grip cap, straight comb, black rubber buttpad, two sling studs on the forend, and a single sling stud on the belly. There are a couple faint marks and light compressions. There are no chips or cracks. There is light handling wear. The LOP measures approximately 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the pad. The pad has no major defects. The stock rates in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are some scattered scuffs and marks on the bolt handle. The remaining surfaces have light handling marks and standard operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This rifle has a three-position safety and a claw extractor. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Introduced by Kimber in 2004, the 84M Pro Varmint is a premium varmint hunting rifle. It combines some of the most desirable features such as a 3-position safety, controlled feed bolt, stainless steel finish, and a gray laminate stock with glass and pillar bedding. The rifle features a 24″ fluted bull barrel chambered for .223 Remington and has a recessed crown. This one has only a couple of faint marks and does not appear to have been shot often. It is ready for you to install your favorite scope and lower the varmint population, ring steel, or put holes in paper. Please see our photos and good luck!
