Our Assessment: From “The FOX GUN” ( A.H. Fox “Wood Grain” Catalog, A.H. Fox Gun Company, Philadelphia, PA) “This FOX grade is a gun that the discriminating sportsman will appreciate as to price and workmanship. It is not a cheap gun, but a more than good gun at a reasonable figure, and can be built to your own specifications without extra charge. The material and fittings are of superior FOX class. The barrels are genuine Chromox Fluid Steel. They have been FOX-PROOFED as absolutely safe and unusually strong, hard shooters and fully guaranteed. The stock is made of select dark Walnut of good grain and figure, and tastefully checkered. The engraving-of an entirely new design, is far superior to any that has heretofore been found on guns of this grade and adds very considerably to the handsome appearance of the gun. You can search through the world’s gun market and not find a better, truer shotgun at the price than the “A” Grade FOX. Like all FOX Guns, it carries the strong, broad FOX Guarantee and FOX-PROOF Certificate.” This shotgun is in great condition and would be great for the Fox Collector or anyone who wants a nice looking vintage side by side.
