Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER P229”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “55B013362”, and “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH-USA”. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “9MM PARA / SIG. P229-1”.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade with tritium lamp dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch with two tritium lamps dovetailed into the slide. The lamps are bright and can be easily seen in low-light conditions.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece textured gray/black synthetic panels that wrap around the backstrap. There are minor handling marks, but otherwise the grips are free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and there is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is only minor handling wear, but otherwise the grips are free of any notable wear or damage. All screws are sharp, pins are unmarred, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single action is light and crisp, and the double action is smooth. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This pistol includes a serial matching cardboard box with foam inlays and two (2) 14-round magazines.
