Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SAKO CAL. 22 PPC USA MADE IN FINLAND” and features a crowned lion proof. The left side of the receiver is marked “SAKO 22 PPC” and features the serial number “A327” and another proof mark. The bottom of the barrel is marked “IMP’D BY STOEGER INC. N.J.” The bolt is marked “327”.

Sights/ Optics: There are no iron sights attached or any provisions. The top of the receiver has factory receiver grooves for mounting an optic (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is checkered wood one-piece with raised comb, pistol grip and rubber buttpad marked “FINLAND SAKO”. There are two studs in the stock, one in the forend and another at the belly of the buttstock. The stock has a light storage mark on the bottom left edge near the assembly bolt. That is the only notable imperfection. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 14.25” from the trigger to the end of the buttpad, which shows light rub wear and some discoloration. Overall, the stock is in Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There are no perceptible imperfections. There is faint operational wear to the bolt. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent overall condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: This rifle comes in its original serial matching box.
Our Assessment: The Sako Vixen .22 PPC Bolt Action rifle was produced between 1987-92. Unlike most other Sako’s this one was designed for .22 PPC ammunition which sets it apart from most other Sakos on the market.
