Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN.”. The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER / PROOF STEEL / MODEL 64 / WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / 25-35 W.C.F.”. The Winchester Proof is on top of the barrel and the frame, with the serial number on the underside of the frame. “22” is stamped on the underside in front of the trigger. The upper tang is marked “WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A.”. The rear sight is marked “KING / PAT.AUG.15’33”. The grip cap is marked “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.”. The left side of the wrist is stamped “J” and the right is stamped “B”.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a Marble No. 2 beaded blade front dight, set into a dovetail on a ramp that is slotted for a hood (not included). The rear sight is an elevator sight with a reversible U/V-notch leaf that has a diamond aim guide. The upper tang is drilled, tapped, and filled for an optic (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a capped pistol grip and forearm, straight comb, and a checkered steel buttplate. Sling swivel studs are mounted at the front and rear positions. There are scattered compressions, scratches, scuffs, and nicks. Most of these defects have darkened with age. The most notable compression is on the belly. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/4? from the front of the trigger to the back of the checkered steel buttplate. The buttplate shows scattered wear and finish loss, the checkering is sharp. The stocks rate in about Good-Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is dim and the rifling is well defined. There is pitting and erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 55% of its metal finish. There are several nicks and scratches throughout the metal surfaces. The finish has slightly thinned throughout. There is light pitting on the sides of the receiver. There is a cluster of small impact marks on the bottom of the barrel. The markings are legible. The screwheads range from lightly tool marked to slightly disfigured with strong slots. Overall, the rifle rates in about Good-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Produced from 1933 through 1957 – and one of the many variants of the ’94, the Model 64 is a must-have for any Winchester Lever Action Collection. It was made with a smooth pistol grip and button magazine, ideal for medium-sized game and built true to Winchester’s legacy of strength and quality production – especially during these years.
