Markings: The left side of the left barrel is marked “COACHGUN 20 GA. 3” CHAMBER” and the right is marked “STOEGER, INC. – ACCOKEEK MARYLAND”. The right side of the receiver is marked “Stoeger Coach Gun”, the underside is marked “E.R. AMANTINO / MADE IN BRAZIL”. The watertable is marked with the serial number. The barrel flat is marked with the serial number. The barrel lugs are marked with inspection marks.

Barrel Length: 20” with Solid Rib

Choke: The barrel is threaded for chokes and installed with a Modified (Left) and Improved Cylinder (Right).

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a brass bead, screwed into the rib; the top of the rib is milled in a crescent pattern for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two-piece checkered hardwood with a pistol grip, beavertail forend, and straight comb. There are a couple of compressions and little marks through the finish on the belly. There are a few light handling marks. The checkering is strong. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the rear trigger and 14 1/2” from the front of the forward trigger to the back of the black rubber buttpad. The pad has some light wear and is slightly proud to the wood. The stocks rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks and minor draglines from storage. There are a few light scuffs on the bottom of the frame. The trigger guard has a few little spots of light frost. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun has dual non-selective triggers, an extractor and the barrel set closes on the receiver with no perceptible play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching box and a manual.

Our Assessment: This is an E.R. Amantino Coach Gun made for Stoeger; this item looks to have seen minimal use and was well taken care of in the interim. These shotguns are extremely popular with cowboy action shooting circles. According to President* Joe Biden, it will also do well for home defense…”just fire two blasts”. Sporting a 20” barrel set, the OAL is only 36 ¼”, making for a fast swinging piece that can fire 20 Gauge 2 3/4″ or 3″ shells, enough to take any game animal in North America with a trusty slug whistling down range.
