Markings: The stop of the barrel is marked with a Ruger warning and “STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN U.S.A.”. The left side of the barrel is marked with “30-06 SPRG” and a Ruger proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked “798-96001”, and “RUGER M77 ® MARK II”. The bolt is serial matching, hand-scribed “96001” and the bolt handle is marked “3”. The grip cap and buttpad are marked with a Ruger phoenix logo.

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver rib is notched for Ruger rings (not included).
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece walnut with checkered pistol grip and forend, fluted straight comb, and black rubber Ruger buttpad. There are sling studs on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. There are scant indications of minor handling wear, but otherwise the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Fine-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but light stubborn fouling persists throughout.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The receiver has a few light nicks on the left side and the barrel has scattered minor nicks, mostly on the bottom. The screws show light tool marks and strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
