Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as modular double stack frames, accessory rails, and optic provisions like this 2011 from SVI. This one has a stainless finsih, front & rear slide serrations, tri-top slide, ambidextrous extended safeties, beavertail grip safety, skeletonized hammer & trigger, and a Schuemann AET bull barrel with a flutec chamber and gain-twist rifling. This one has seen some use but is still in Fine condition, if you’re looking for a pistol to shoot in the USPSA or Steel Challenge Limited division, drop a bid today!
