Markings: The top of the receiver is marked “US RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY (t) / 410096”. The top of the bolt is marked “7790186-SA / F00338”, the bottom is marked “P5”. The oprod is marked “7267064-2 / SA”. The left side of the inside stock is marked “D-3741 / GB-4 / DT”. The right side of the inside stock is marked “D-3742 GB-4 / DT”. The inside of the stock is marked “DEC 14 2010” and “BOYDS SA”.

Sights/ Optics: The rear sight is a fully-adjustable aperture set between protective ears, the face of the right knob is marked “LEFT” twice between alternating curved arrows and “SA” underneath one of the curved arrows. The body of the left knob is marked with numbers 2-11. The front sight is a blade set between two protective ears that is dovetailed and screw set to a base which is integral to the flash hider. The top of the barrel is equipped with a picatinny rail for a long eye relief scope (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The Boyds smooth wood stock has a pistol grip and uses a synthetic upper handguard. There are sling swivels mounted at the butt and on the forend. The buttstock has a checkered metal butt plate that swivels up to reveal a second checkered buttplate underneath it. The second buttplate has a trapdoor covering two holes in the stock for storage of cleaning equipment. There are no notable imperfections. The LOP measures 13 1/8 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The plate has no perceptible wear. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There are no imperfections worth noting. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Overall, the rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: This rifle comes with a black canvas SA zip-up case with a myriad of paperwork including a manual, the detached flash hider, and a single magazine.
Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1A Scout Semi-Automatic Rifle takes .308 Winchester ammunition. It has a smooth wood Boyds stock that is in excellent condition. The bore is bright and the mechanics are strong. This is a beautiful rifle that seems to have seen very little use. Please see our photos and good luck!
