Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with “PB” in an oval, “MOD. 21A–.25 CAL”, and “MADE IN USA”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK, MD”. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number, “BES09929V”. The left grip panel is marked with “PB” in an oval and the right is marked with the Beretta three arrow logo.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch integral to the slide.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth walnut panels, with the magazine release recessed into the left panel. Both panels have a few light scuffs and the left panel has a small nick at the heel. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is well-defined. There is no erosion, but light stubborn fouling is present in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The frame and slide have minor thinning on some edges. There are a few light nicks on the edges of the slide. The magazine well has minor operational wear. The screws show light tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The tip-up barrel releases easily and locks up with no play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Beretta 21A, also known as the Bobcat, is a handy conceal carry pistol possessed of its storied manufacturer’s quality construction and stylish design. This EL model features handsome walnut grips that contrast well with the dark blue finish. This example was produced in 1993 and hardly looks its age. The bore needs a good once-over, but otherwise this pistol is nicely squared away. This is a light pistol that will take up no more room than a wallet and offers any number of ways to conceal it on your person. Good luck and happy bidding.
