Markings: The left of the slide has a Steyr logo and “STEYR MANNLICHER AUSTRIA 9X19”, the right is marked “3070341” with Austrian proofs, “AWR” date code and “STEYR L9-A1”. The bottom -front of the slide is marked “1303A”. The right of the barrel is marked “3070341” with Austrian proofs and “9×19”, the left is marked “1301/2”. Each side of the grip frame has a Steyr logo toward the bottom, the left of the frame has a metal plate import-marked “SAI, Trussville, AL”, the bottom of the dust cover has a plate marked “3070341”.

Sights/ Optics: The sights are a TruGlo tritium/fiber-optic set with a front blade dovetailed to the front of the slide and a square-notch dovetailed to the rear. The tritium has faded slightly but is still useable as night-sights.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grip is textured black polymer integral to the frame. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The action shows minor operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The markings are all clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. The recoil spring/guide rod assembly has been replaced with a DPM Systems Technologies 3 Spring Mechanical & Magnetomechanical Recoil Reduction System. The original recoil spring/guide rod assembly is included. We did not fire this gun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The L9-A1 is Steyr Mannlicher’s full-size, polymer-frame, striker-fired, service/duty pistol. It has great ergonomics with a low bore axis to help reduce recoil. This example has been equipped with a DPM Systems recoil reducing system. The pistol is in great shape, appearing to have seen little if any use and comes with a pair of magazines.
