Our Assessment: The Walther PP series has long been a popular option for civilian, law enforcement, and even military pistols. The PP was just small enough to be convenient, but large enough for a service pistol. The PPK makes for a great concealed carry pistol. Following the Gun Control Act of 1968, the PPK/S was introduced to meet the United States’ import requirements, neatly splitting the difference between the two. Due to…issues related to WWII, there was a period of time where Walther could not manufacture arms in Germany, and the French firm of Manurhin took over production of many of Walther’s popular lines. Since then, the PP series has seen production in Germany, France, and here in the United States. This example is a French made Walther PPK/S chambered for .380 ACP (9mm kurz). It is in Excellent condition, showing signs of infrequent and responsible use. It comes with a nice concealed carry holster and a single magazine to get you started. This would make for a good carry gun or addition to a Walther collection missing a Manurhin/Interarms example. Please see our photos and good luck!
