The remaining metal shows scuffs, light scrapes, and thinning on the leading edges of the metal. The right side of the receiver shows some thinning consistent with cycling. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This M1 Garand was built on a modern Century International Arms receiver. It was built with lots of Springfield marked USGI parts including a 1952 dated Springfield barrel. This Century M1 Garand looks good and can do lots of work at the range.
