Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC, ILION, NY 30-06 SPRG”. The left side of the barrel, at the chamber, is marked with a poorly struck date code we cannot make out. The left side of the receiver is marked “Remington WOODSMASTER MODEL 750”. The right side of the barrel is marked with magnaflux, proof, and test marks. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a beaded blade front sight dovetailed to a serrated ramp screwed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight has been removed but is included, the holes have been filled. The included rear sight is a “U” notch fitting on a slider on a ramped base. The top of the receiver is installed with a one-piece base and rings holding a Simmons 3-9×40 scope. The scope has some little light rubs and handling marks. The scope has a duplex reticle and the glass is clear. The scope rates in about Excellent condition
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two-piece stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a finger groove forend, steel nosecap, capped pistol grip, monte carlo comb, cheekpiece, and black rubber buttpad. There are a few little rubs on the left of the buttstock at the front of the comb. There are light handling marks. The checkering is strong. The LOP measures approximately 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad has some light wear, most noticeable at the heel and toe. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are one or two minor rubs on the receiver from handling. There are a few little spots of dried oil at the rear sight screws. There is standard operational wear and light handling wear. The screw heads are sharp. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A 4-round Remington magazine, two Triple K 10-round magazines, the previously described scope, the previously described rear sight, and a soft case are included with this rifle.
Our Assessment: This is a Remington Model 750 semi-auto rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The 750 is like the earlier 742 and 7400 with some updates to the gas system. With its semi-automatic design and 22″ barrel, it’s a fairly compact and fast-handling gun which will allow for rapid follow-up shots. The rifle has nice adjustable iron sights but already comes topped with a nice Simmons scope. The bore is stellar and there is no reason to think that with the proper care that this rifle won’t last a few lifetimes. Please see our photos and good luck!
