Markings: The top of the barrel, ahead of the rear sight is marked “KIMBER OF OREGON, INC., CLACKAMAMAS, OREGON, U.S.A”. The left side of the barrel is marked “CAL 22 LR”. The left side of the frame is marked “HDH / SA155 / KIMBER MODEL 82 Super America”

Sights / Optics: A low profile rail is mounted at the rear of the frame and a long ramped base for both a scope mount and flip-up iron sight is mounted to the barrel. The flip up sight is micro adjustable and has a white diamond. The front sight is a beaded blade, on a matted ramp, missing the hood. The bases are for the mounting of optics, non are included.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered American Walnut, with pistol grip cap, sling swivel studs, pistol grip, and Niedner checkered steel buttplate. There are a few light marks on the belly (especially at the toe) and on the comb. The ding in the belly behind the pistol grip is the depest. The grain is beautiful, as is the fit. The checkering is sharp! The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the plate, which has some surface marks but still more than 95% finish. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only very light surface markings and signs of operation. There is wear to the scope bases from previously mounted rings. It was clearly shot infrequently and most of the wear and imperfections are from storage rather than use (the belly). The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Founded in 1979, Kimber of America swiftly developed a reputation for high-quality rifles, predominantly due to their Model 82 rimfire rifles. Made in a variety of configurations, the Model 82 developed a well-deserved reputation for accuracy and was also introduced in some popular center-fire .22 and .17 calibers. Due to their accuracy and unparalleled build quality, these are sought after by collectors and shooters alike.
The “Super America” is the top of the line model of the 82 series according to blue book. It has a Niedner checkered steel buttplate and high quality walnut, cheekpiece and was only available in a sporter configuration. This model was discontinued in 1988 and then reintroduced in the 90’s for one year.
