Markings: The left side of the shank is marked “USE ONLY / 308 WIN”. The right side of the chamber ring is marked with the serial number “WY001965”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the Weatherby “W”, “WEATHERBY / SHERIDAN, WY”, and “MARK V / MADE IN U.S.A.”. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked “1965”. The trigger guard is marked with a gold-filled Weatherby “W”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. Equipped to the top of the receiver via a picatinny style rail and two rings is a Zeiss Conquest HD5 with 3-15x magnification and a Rapid Z 800 reticle. The external surface shows very little wear and the lenses are crystal clear. The scope rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered walnut with a high gloss finish, a raised Monte Carlo comb, a capped pistol grip and cheekpiece. There is a black rubber Decelerator recoil pad mounted on the butt with a black spacer. There is a rosewood grip cap with tan spacer and a tan diamond shaped piece of wood inlet into its bottom surface. There is also a rosewood nose cap with a tan spacer. There are sling swivels in the belly and on the forend with a brown leather Weatherby sling attached that shows a few scuffs, in about Very Good-Fine condition. There are just a few scattered faint scratches. The checkering is nice and sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/8” and 12 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad and wood, respectively. The pad shows faint wear and is soft. The stock is in Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some scattered hardly notable marks. There is hardly any operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The previously mentioned scope and sling are included.
Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Mark V manufactured in the USA. This rifle has an excellent bore and a clean, light trigger. This thing is drop dead sexy and ready for the hunt. Please see our photos and good luck!
