Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction. It has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement. This example is chambered in .35 Whelen and would be good for hunting or target shooting. We think that the iron sights are an addition made by a previous owner, the caliber is correct for the year and the serial number prefix is also correct. This 700 Classic Limited Edition looks like it sat in a safe for much of its life, has strong mechanics, and a stellar bore. Pick up this American classic and take her out into the field, chances are you won’t be disappointed.  Please see our photos and good luck!
