Our Assessment: This is a Winchester Model 12, made in 1955, towards the end of their initial production which ceased in 1963. After this, guns sporadically assembled from existing parts through about 1966 and a reintroduction of a New Style in 1972. The Model 12 is one of Winchester’s most iconic shotguns, having mostly taken the place of the 1897 after its introduction. This example is a 1955 vintage 12 gauge with a 28″ solid rib barrel choked Modified. This will make for a nice, versatile hunting gun for the lucky winner, or a nice addition to a collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
