Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated low rise rounded blade set on the front of the slide. The rear sight is a flat-topped square notch sight dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood with smooth diamonds around the grip screws. There is light handling wear, no major defects. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grip panels rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks and faint operational wear, there are no major defects. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a green hard case without a label, paperwork including the manual, cleaning rod, a 7-round magazine. The mag has a few light marks from use, in about Excellent condition. The case has some light wear from storage, mostly on the bottom, in about Fine Plus condition.
Our Assessment: This is a Springfield Armory 1911-A1 GI pistol chambered in .45 ACP with a parkerized finish and a fixed front and drift adjustable rear sight. The pistol is in about Excellent condition with about 99% of its finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. It looks like it never made it to the range and sat in the case its whole life. This pistol is perfect for home protection, offering a light single-action trigger pull and a mag of seven rounds of the potent .45 ACP plus one in the chamber. The 1911 platform has proven itself for over 100 years and has seen use in situations ranging from some of the largest global conflicts to some of the smallest special operations.
