Markings: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN/MIROKU”. The left of the monoblock is marked “21440”, “44”, “P” and “INVECTOR / PLUS / 30”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with proofs. The right of the top barrel is marked “INVECTOR-PLUS CITORI SPECIAL STEEL 20 GA-2 3/4””. The inside of the forend iron is marked “21440” and the inside of the forend is stamped “BA21440”. The top tang, under the lever, is marked with the serial number. The sides of the receiver are marked with a Buck Mark followed by “Ultra XS Skeet”. The sides and bottom of the receiver have scroll engraving with gold accents. The bottom of the trigger guard has a Buck Mark logo.

Choke: The currently installed chokes are Improved Modified over Improved Cylinder.
Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a green fiber optic front sight and a white alignment bead at the midsection of the rib.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a pistol grip with right handed palm swell and fluted straight comb with adjustable comb height. The forend has a couple rubs anc compressions, most noticeable on the bottom at the rear and on the sides at the front. There is a long crack on the right side of the wrist that starts at the receiver down towards the bottom and there is a second smaller crack below it. There are some little compressions and some marks through the finish, most noticeable on the belly at the heel, left side at the edge below the comb, and on the right side at the front & rear up towards the comb. The checkering is strong. The LOP measures approximately 14 ¼” from the front of the trigger to the back of the Browning black hard rubber buttplate. The drop at comb is approximately 1 3/4” and at heel 1 7/8”, at the rear of the raised portion of the comb is currently 1 ?”. The cast is about neutral. The plate has some wear at the heel and toe with a small chip on the toe. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is some light handling wear on the receiver. The silver nitride shoulders attached to the barrel set have a few freckles of minor discoloration, most noticeable on the right side and there is a small light scratch on the left. There are a few nicks on the barrel lugs visible on the bottom of the frame. There are a few light marks on the barrels, a few go through the finish, most noticeable on the right side of the bottom barrel about midway between the forend and muzzle. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial non-matching box with paperwork including the manual, Skeet choke & choke wrench. The box has some scuffs, light edge wear, and a few punctures. The box rates in about Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: Browning Citori shotguns are extremely dependable and make for great investments. This example is a Citori XS Skeet, or Ultra XS Skeet, with 30” ported barrels threaded for Invector Plus chokes and chambered for 20 gauge 2 ¾ inch shells. Aside from the crack in the buttstck, it has wear consistent with normal use by at the range, retaining strong mechanics, bright bores, and a tight lockup. This ought to be a great shotgun for hunting or clay shooting for the lucky winner once you get the stock repaired. Please see our photos and good luck!
