Markings: The left side of the shank is marked “USE ONLY / 300 WBY MAG”. The right side of the chamber ring is marked with the serial number “PB023340”. The left side of the receiver is marked “MARK V”, “Weatherby / PASO ROBLES, CA”, and “MADE IN U.S.A.”. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked “3349”. The trigger guard is marked with the Weatherby “W”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a two-piece base system.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered walnut with a high gloss finish, a raised Monte Carlo comb, a capped pistol grip and cheekpiece. There is a brown rubber Decelerator recoil pad mounted on the butt with a black spacer. There is a rosewood grip cap with tan spacer and a tan diamond shaped piece of wood inlet into its bottom surface. There is also a rosewood nose cap with a tan spacer. There are sling swivel studs in the belly and on the forend. There are some hardly notable marks and a few tiny compressions. The checkering has a couple marks on either side but is strong and intact. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/8” and 12 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad and wood, respectively. The pad shows some minor scuffs on the sides and is soft. The stock is in Fine-Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion in the bore. There is an M.E. of 1.0.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are some faint marks on the floor plate. There is light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Mark V manufactured in the USA. This rifle has an excellent bore and a clean, light trigger. All this thing needs is a decent sling and scope and it will be ready for hunting. Please see our photos and good luck!
