Markings: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / MADE IN JAPAN/MIROKU”. The left of the monoblock is marked “31068ZV”, “3”, “P”  and “INVECTOR / 26””. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with proofs. The right of the top barrel is marked “CITORI SPECIAL STEEL 28 GA-2 3/4””. The inside of the forend iron is marked “31086” and the inside of the forend is stamped “C 31086”. The top tang, under the lever, is marked with the serial number. The sides of the receiver are marked with scroll engraving. The bottom of the receiver is marked “White / Lighting” in gold. The bottom of the trigger guard has a Buck Mark logo.

Barrel Length: 26” Vent-Rib

Choke: The currently installed chokes are Modified over Improved Cylinder.

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a bright steel bead set on the rib at the muzzle.

Weight: 6 lb., 13 oz.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a round bottom pistol grip and straight comb. The top rear corners of the forend have some small marks through the finish. There are a couple faint compressions and light handling marks, most noticeable on the belly. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures approximately 14 ¼” from the front of the trigger to the back of the Browning black hard rubber buttplate. The drop at comb is approximately 1 1/2” and at heel 2 1/4”. The cast is about neutral. The plate has some light handling wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no erosion.

Overall Condition: This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few little scratches on the barrel lugs visible on the bottom of the receiver, otherwise there is only light handling wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching box with paperwork including the manual, a Full choke, and chamber locks. The box has some scuffs, light edge wear, and a few punctures. The box rates in about Very Good condition.

Our Assessment: Browning Citori shotguns are extremely dependable and make for great investments. This example is a Citori White Lightning with 26” barrels threaded for Invector chokes and chambered for 28 Gauge 2 ¾ inch shells. This one has hardly any wear and has strong mechanics, bright bores, and a tight lockup. This ought to be a great shotgun for hunting or clay shooting for the lucky winner!
