Year of Manufacture: WWII

Markings: The inletting at the belly is marked “IO”. There is a “P” on the face of the pistol grip. The buttplate is marked “B257614” and “12”.

Dimensions: Rough OAL width 1 3/4” (not folded), rough height 5.5”, rough length 17.5” folded, 28.5” extended. The diameter of the wire stock is roughly .305”.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a folding paratrooper with wire stock and cast metal buttplate. The rivets  holding the leather to the metal plate on the stock are steel. There is chip starting to develop at the base of the pistol grip. It has not come loose yet. There is another chip at the base of the barrel channel in the inletting (this will go unnoticed once an action is installed in the stock. Overall, the stock rates in Fine condition.
