The tray has an Antlered Game label, but the serial marking is worn, and not legible. The tray and sleeve show moderate storage wear with some discoloration, fraying and tears at edges and corners, and a few punctures, in about Good condition.
Our Assessment: This is a Winchester Antlered Game Commemorative Model 94 Carbine, produced in 1978 to commemorate the model being one of, if not the most popular rifles for taking antlered game in America. The 1894, later designated 94, model rifle has become nearly synonymous with “deer rifle”, especially when chambered for .30-30. The gold plating of the receiver is complemented by antlered game scene engravings and a handsome medallion inlaid to the checkered stock. The rifle is in Fine-Excellent condition with only a few light mark in the metal, a bore which has seen little, if any use, and minor wear in the stock. This would make a great addition to a Winchester collection, or just a fine tribute to America’s favorite deer rifle. Please see our photos and good luck!
