Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
The rifle accepts a magazine and locks it into place properly.
There is No magazine. We tested the rifle with one of our mags.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There is No magazine.

Our Assessment: This WWII Springfield Armory M1 Garand was made back in 1944. It has since been converted to fire .308 Winchester and accept M1A magazines. It is now in M1A (civilian variant M14) configuration. This is a nice looking rifle that just needs a mag & some ammo for you to get out and slay paper at the range.
