Our Assessment: This Model 1894/14 Swedish Mauser Carbine is Model 1894 Carbine with the 1914 nosecap upgrade. The nosecap upgrade allows the bayonet to be mounted without touching the barrel. It was made by Carl Gustafs in 1903 and was later upgraded. This one has a welded barrel extension from when the legal minimum barrel length in the U.S. was 18”. The metal has been refinished but still looks quite good and the cracks in the buttstock appear to have been repaired. The bore is great and the mechanics are strong. This one comes with a bayonet and will be a good addition to your collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
