Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger pull is a little stiff and the single action pull has a smooth takeup followed by a light, crisp break. This pistol has a decocker safety which functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original serial matched black plastic case with two 10-round magazines and paperwork including a manual, test target, and a French Chamber of Commerce certificate. One of the magazines has a pinky extension and is marked with a Walther banner over “Cal. 22 L.R.” on either side. Both magazines show very light operational wear and minor thinning at the top edges. They rate in about Fine-Excellent condition. The case shows scattered light draglines and faint scratches with no chips or cracks. The case rates in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: Because of the Gun Control Act of 1968, importation of the Walther PPK was disallowed, and Walther enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S model to get around the restrictions. The PPK/S was made by Walter into the 1970’s and then by license to Walter by Interarms starting in 1980 and continuing into the 1990’s, and later by Smith & Wesson, while during most of this time it was also manufactured by Manurhin. This is a blued Walther PPK/S in .22 LR caliber made in France under license by Manurhin.  This pistol is in about Excellent condition with about 99% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. The pistol comes with two magazines to get you started. If you want a small pistol for concealed carry or if you have small hands that won’t fit around a grip with a double stack magazine, this is a quality pistol that is great for concealed carry. It would make a nice addition for a Walther collector. Please see our photos and good luck!
