Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC. ILION, NY 270 WIN.”. The right side of the chamber is marked “AC”. The right side of the barrel is marked with inspectors marks at the breech. The bottom of the bolt is matched and marked “0611”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver has a pair of bases in stalled with a pair of rings.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered wood with black caps, capped throughbolt, and straight comb with a cheekpiece. There are a few light handling marks. The checkering is intact and sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the black rubber Remington buttpad. The pad has some wear at the heel and toe. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are some light handling marks. There is standard operational wear. The markings are clear. The screw heads show light use. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction. It has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement and has been produced in just about any caliber and configuration you could think of. This CDL is chambered for the popular .270 Winchester and has a 24” barrel and blued finish.
