Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 95% of its metal finish. The most notable finish loss is a cluster of many light nicks on the butt. There are a few scattered light marks on the outside of the cylinder and minor turn-wear. There is a spot of surface oxidation on the top of the ejector housing and a few nicks and scratches on the bottom. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Lockup produces almost no play on all six chambers. The trigger is crisp. The cylinder’s bushing is fixed in the cylinder. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with an Alfonso’s of North Hollywood fast-draw rig. The rig has foliate tooling, black and brown contrast, .45 caliber loops on the back and “BG” carved into the top of the holster. The belt, under the tongue, is marked “4967 44C 45”. The holster is steel-lined and features thumb-strap and tie-down. The rig shows light use-wear with intact stitching, in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: Everyone should have a Colt Single Action Army, and this would be a nice one to add to any collection. Manufactured in 1978, this revolver is chambered in the classic .45 Colt cartridge. The 4 3/4? barrel makes for a fast-handling gun that comes out of a holster quickly. Speaking of holsters, this revolver also comes with an Alfonso’s fast-draw rig, known as one of the finest makers of gun leather in the world, and specializing in fast-draw. The rig has beautiful tooling with a steel-lined holster and Alfonso’s signature double-stitching. The gun is in Fine condition with 95% of its metal finish and a nice bore. This is THE classic sixgun in the classic SAA cartridge that would be just as great for the collector as for the shooter. With the included rig, this would be a great way to get into fast-draw, too. Please see our photos and good luck!
