Markings: The top of the receiver is marked “U.S. RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / 439291”. The top of the bolt is marked “7790186-SA / F00356”. The oprod is marked “SOCOM 16” and “7267064-2 / SA” on the protected portion. The left side of the shank is marked “SPRINGFIELD INC. / Geneseo IL.”. The right flat of the receiver is marked “Springfield Inc. Geneseo IL.” The top of the barrel is marked “.308”

Sights / Optics: The rear sight is a fully-adjustable aperture set between protective ears, the face of the right knob is marked “LEFT” twice between alternating curved arrows and “SA” underneath one of the curved arrows. The body of the left knob is marked with numbers 2-11. There is a threaded mounting point integral to the left of the receiver for a side mounted rail for an optical sight. The front sight is a blade set between two protective ears that is dovetailed and screw set to a base which is integral to the installed flash hider. Equipped to the top of the barrel via a picatinny rail and two rings is a VTX Crossfire scope with long eye relief and 2-7x magnification and a duplex reticle. The scope shows no perceptible wear and the lenses are clear. The scope rates in about Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The black checkered synthetic stock features a pistol grip, a straight comb, a metallic shoulder rest buttplate with internal storage compartment, and the factory sling swivel at the bottom of the forend and a fixed sling swivel at the rear. The stock shows some extremely faint draglines around the buttstock but no significant imperfections. The LOP measures approximately 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate shows barely perceptible marks around the edges. Overall this stock rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is what appears to be a tiny pinprick of erosion near the muzzle but may prove to be stubborn fouling with proper cleaning.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is light operational thinning. The flash hider and bottom metal show some scattered faint lines. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Overall, the rifle is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this rifle is the previously mentioned scope as well as a black M1A canvas soft case, a total of two 20-round magazines, paperwork including a manual, and a safety lock and key. The soft case shows no significant imperfections and has no rips or tears. It rates in about Fine-Excellent condition. The magazines come in their factory baggies and rate in about Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: It is apparent at first glance that this rifle has seen little use. The rifle features a synthetic synthetic stock making it lightweight and giving it an attractive appearance. The highest bidder would be lucky to take this home. Please see our photos and good luck!
