Markings: The left of the barrel is marked “.30/06” at the chamber. The left of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “G. McMILLAN & CO. PHOENIX AZ”. The underside of the bolt is matched and marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver is installed with a pair of bases.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece metallic red fiberglass with a pistol grip, straight comb, wide flat bottom forend, and solid black rubber buttpad. There are some scattered marks through the finish, most noticeable on the bottom edge of the forend and on the left side at about the bolt release. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the pad. The pad has no major defects. The stock rates in Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is strong. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few spots of discoloration from previous oxidation, the most noticeable are on the top of the barrel towards the front. Otherwise there is just light handling marks. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a very nice G. McMillan target rifle chambered for .30-06 Springfield. Based on the features it appears to be a custom order. It features a 26” barrel and a nice bench rest stock. The trigger pull is crisp and the build fit and finish is great. This is a nice rifle that ought to be capable of some impressive groups.
