Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with the serial number “4132” and a double-crown over “U” proof mark. The ejector rod sleeve is marked with the serial number “4132”. The ejector rod is marked “312”. The left side of the frame is marked with a double-crown over “U” proof mark, “SIMSON & CO / SUHL”, the serial number “4132”, and a “3” inspection stamp. The left side of the rear trigger guard bow is marked with the serial number “4132”. The right side of the rear trigger guard bow is marked with a triangle stamp. The cylinder is marked on the side and rear face with the serial number “4132”, and on the front face with “111”. The front of the cylinder pin is marked “677”. The loading gate is marked with “3502”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade that is fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a v-notch that is integral to the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood made in 3 pieces with a center section that protrudes through the center of the backstrap and the center of the front strap in the bottom half.The wood is entirely discolored, with the rear of the centerpiece showing a few more notable losses and very little checkering. The left and right panels have scattered light nicks and dings throughout and several areas where the checkering is worn down. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Very Good condition, as antique.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with well-defined rifling. There is light stubborn fouling throughout along with some light erosion on the right side of the barrel.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 84% of its current metal finish. The barrel shows minor thinning at the muzzle and on the edges along with a few scattered light scuffs. The frame on either side shows surface scattered erosion under the finish. The cylinder shows a few light nicks and light surface erosion under the finish. The hammer and trigger have taken on a distinct plum hue. Screws show moderate tool marks with usable slots and pins are unmarred. Overall, this revolver rates in Very Good-to-Fine condition, as antique refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action is smooth, and the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
