Our Assessment: This is an FN GP Competition made in Belgium in 1987. Essentially, it is a Hi Power which has been upgraded for competition use. The Browning High Power was conceived by John Browning with the design finished by Dieudonne Saive at FN after Browning’s death in 1926. The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military pistols in history and has been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries. This pistol takes it a step further with a 6″ barrel with a bushing and threaded barrel nut as well as a fully adjustable rear sight. The Belgian Hi-Powers enjoy a reputation for quality and reliability, and this GP Competition pistol should last for decades. However, it is in Fine condition and the Belgian Hi Powers have a dedicated following, so the collectors will be interested, too. Please see our photos and good luck!
