Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked with a warning above “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC., ILION, N.Y. 308 WIN” and is also marked with the date code. The right side of the barrel is marked with magnaflux, proof, and test marks at the breech. The bolt is matched to the rifle and the bottom is marked “2866”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a Weaver picatinny rail.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is textured black composite with an enlarged forend, palm swell pistol grip, straight comb, and a black rubber buttpad. There are two sling studs mounted on the forend and one on the belly. There are some scattered light handling marks and rubs. There are some smooth spots. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the textured black rubber buttpad. The pad has some light wear from use. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are some light rubs that have faintly thinned the finish. There are some little spots of discoloration on the barrel, mostly on the top in front of the forend. The markings are strong except for some of the small proofs and date code. The screw heads lightly worn. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly.  As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
