Markings: The barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN CT. U.S.A. / MODEL 9-MICRO GROOVE BARREL-CAL. 9MM”. The right side of the barrel is marked with Marlin’s two-line warning. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “05568193”. The buttpad is marked with the Marlin logo.

Barrel Length: 16.5″

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a hooded red blade that is dovetailed to a serrated riser and screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a U-notch elevator leaf that is dovetailed to the rear of the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece press checkered wood with a pistol grip, straight comb, sling stud front and rear, and a brown firm rubber Marlin buttpad. The wood shows one or two barely perceptible marks with no major imperfections. The LOP measures approximately 14” from the front of the trigger to the end of the firm rubber buttpad. The pad shows very light wear. Overall, that stock rates in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows just minor wear in the form of a few light lines on top of the receiver. There is minimal operational wear. The screw heads are sharp and not disfigured. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this gun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box & Accessories: Included us one 12-round magazine. The magazine shows light thinning from operational wear and has a strong spring and intact feed lips. The magazine rates in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: This is just a great and fun little carbine, by a respected gun maker. The Camp Nine is a gun that has earned its reputation of reliability and quality. 9MM is fun to shoot.
