Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER” and “SIGARMS INC. / EXETER – NH”. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number “U 504 540”, “P226 / MADE IN W.GERMANY”. The slide chin is marked with a “KE” date code, an Eagle over “N” proof mark, and a Kiel proof mark. The right side of the frame is marked with serial number “U 504 540”, and an Eagle over “N” proof mark. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “9mm Para”. The barrel is serial-matching, marked “SIG SAUER” and “U 504 540”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade night sight with tritium lamp dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a Trijicon square-notch night sight with two tritium lamps dovetailed into the slide. The lamps can no longer be seen in low-light conditions.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are textured black plastic that wraps around the backstrap with light scuffs on the smooth border areas. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip rates in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 94% of its finish. The slide shows light nicks and scuffs most notable near the muzzle and in the front sight dovetail notch. The slide chin shows scattered light scuffs, light edge-thinning, and has taken on a distinct plum hue. The screws show light tool marks with usable slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single action is crisp, and the double-action is smooth. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this pistol is a plastic Sig Sauer snap-case, two (2) 15-round magazines, one (1) 20-round magazine with over-insertion stop, test-fire target, a set of black rubber Hogue grips, and assorted factory paperwork including the manual. The case shows wear from storage, with minor scuffs throughout, and rates in Very Good-Fine condition. The magazines show light operational wear, have strong springs, intact feed lips and rate in Fine condition. The Hogue grips show light handling marks with a few minor compressions in the smooth areas, and rate in Very Good-Fine condition. Please note, no magazines will be included for purchasers who reside where they cannot be legally transferred.
