Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag Rifle was made back in 1899. This Military service rifle is over 120 years old but is 2 months “too young” to be considered an antique. The rifle has been refinished but still has nice markings on the receiver. This distinctive Krag rifle uses a side mounted magazine and should be fun to shoot.
