Markings:  The left side of the barrel is marked “BERETTA-GARDONE V.T – MADE IN ITALY / HP 28 Ga. 70mm for 2 ¾”-28″- 13.9”. The right side of the barrel is marked with two proof marks and the date code, “WARNING READ MANUAL BEFORE USE / BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK. MD.”, and “ALLOYED CR. MO. QUENCHED HIGH TANSILE STEEL / XB226823 IT19”. The right side of the frame is marked with the Beretta logo, “Xplor / ACTION”, and “XA224479  1T19”. The underside of the receiver is marked with two proof marks and the date code. The left of the receiver is marked “A400 XPLOR 28 GA / ACTION / MADE IN ITALY-PATENTED”.

Barrel Length: 28” With Ventilated Rib

Choke: The chokes are interchangeable. A skeet choke is currently installed. Full and Cylinder are also included.

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a red fiber optic bead at the muzzle on top of the ventilated rib. The top of the receiver is grooved for an optics mount.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The two-piece wood stocks are checkered with finger grooved forend, a pistol grip, a straight fluted comb, a sling stud in the belly and a Beretta buttpad. There is little indication of use, the gun has been cared for and stored very well. The checkering is sharp with no signs of compressed checkers. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the soft rubber buttpad. The pad show little to no wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of finish shows light operational wear from cycling the action and light firing. It appears to have been put away extremely clean. There is nothing eye-catching or defects that we can see. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A Beretta hard case is included with this shotgun. The factory manual, extra choke tubes, stock spacers, Beretta oiling bottle, a Beretta indicator barrel display, and choke tube wrench are all included with this shotgun. The matching hard case and accessories rate in about Excellent condition. The case has some storage marks and scuffs and rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
