Action Type: This pistol features a semi-cocked action with two hammers, one internal and one external. The internal hammer is cocked when the slide is pulled back and released, like a single action. The external hammer moves back when the trigger is pulled and at some point, the inner hammer sear trips, releasing the pre-cocked inner hammer, and pulling the external hammer into the firing pin, which is sort of like a double action. Para Ordnance calls this a Light Double Action. The pistol has a Removable Magazine

Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Para-Ordnance”. The right side of the slide is marked “14.45 LDA”. The right side of the frame is marked “DA 1749”, “PARA-ORDNANCE INC. / FT. LAUDERDALE, FL.” and “MADE IN / CANADA”. The barrel at the port is marked with a Para Ordnance logo and “.45 ACP”.

Sights / Optics: This pistol is mounted with a 3 white dot sighting system. The front sight is a black blade fixed to the slide and the rear sight has a dovetailed blade with a square notch.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black synthetic with a round Para Ordnance logo in the center of the grips. There are a few light handling marks and a few light rubs to the smooth borders. The checkering is intact and strong. The grips are in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion but some light fouling is present in the bore.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few light scuffs and rubs on the frame. There are a few light marks from operation on the slide in the stirrup cut, mostly on the right side. The grip screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are three 14-round magazines and a serial matching Para case. The magazines have a few marks through the finish from standard use and rate in about Fine condition. One of the hinges on the case has cracked and the lid can fall off. There are some little scratches and scuffs on the case, in about Good condition. Please note, no magazines will be included if prohibited by your local laws.
