Markings: The left of the slide is marked “COLT MK IV/SERIES ’80 / -MUSTANG-380 AUTO-” and with a rampant colt. The serial number is on the left side of the frame and reads “MU33907.” The right side of the frame bears “COLT’S PT. FA. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.”. The right of the barrel at the chamber is marked “CAL 380”. The left side of the trigger guard has “A” along with COLT’s verified proof. The right side of the trigger guard has “0”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black plastic with silver Colt medallions. The grips have some little nicks and dings on the smooth borders. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fine condition.

Type of Finish: Matte Nickel

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. The finish has little draglines and handling marks, some have caused smooth streaks. The right side of the frame has a couple of tiny marks into the metal on the edge in front of the magazine release. There is some wear on the edge of the slide stop cut with some light marring to the metal. There is light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has some play to the frame. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a blue Colt case in a non-serial matching sleeve and a blued 5-round magazine. The case a few light handling marks, in about Excellent condition. The sleeve has edge wear, scattered scuffs, and some little tears at the corners. The label has been written on, the case sleeve rates in about Very Good condition. The magazine has some scuffs, little spots of frost, and some small marks into the finish, in about Very Good condition.
